Google Hit With Massive Outage, Including YouTube, Gmail and Google Classroom

Google’s services went down for about an hour Monday in a massive outage that prevented many people from watching YouTube videos, accessing their Google Docs or sending email on Gmail.

A little after 8 am ET, most of Google’s services came back online, but Gmail remains down for many.

The company’s workspace status dashboard had been red across the board, with every single Google service indicating an outage. Later Monday morning, they turned green, indicating that they’re operating normally.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support,” Google said in a statement.

Google said it will work toward restoring its apps for the remaining people who are still unable to access them, but the problems should largely be resolved.

“Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better,” the company said.

Downdetector, a service that registers complaints about unavailable internet services, showed tens of thousands of people had been unable to use Google and its apps.

Internet services fail from time to time for a variety of reasons: server errors, incorrectly installed maintenance routines or a host of other potential goofs and glitches. Google’s most recent major outage took place in September, when Google Docs went down for several hours.

According to Joshua’s Promoter, Eddie Hearn, talks between his camp and Fury’s camp will start today, Monday, December 14 and the deal could be arranged within two days .

Hearn also revealed that both fighters would pocket £100million each with the winner of the rematch fight going home with 60 percent of earnings while the loser makes 40 percent.

He also stated that the first fight could be in Dubai, Qatar or Saudi Arabia in late May 2021 as a fight in the UK would not make even up to half of the amounts.

Both fighters have all the belts in heavyweight boxing, so a winner of the fight is not just guaranteed 100million but also all 6 belts/titles.

Hearn said: ‘We are all in for that fight. The only thing that needs to be resolved is where it is going to be and a couple of TV issues. That is it.

‘Everyone (on both sides) is completely in on the finances — 50-50 first fight, 60-40 to the winner, two fights.

‘We can sign an agreement and then go to a conversation about the various sites, to see where we can get the money. There is no reason we cannot complete the deal in a couple of days and then move on and solve the other problems.

‘We need to write to the governing bodies and say we have a deal and we will talk to the various sites and confirm the dates shortly for what I suppose will be the end of May.’

Selena Gomez recently sparked romance rumors with Miami Heat player Jimmy Butler after they were spotted grabbing dinner, according to the Miami Herald.

While the duo has yet to publicly address the speculation surrounding their last sighting together, a source confirms to E! News that the pop star has hung out with the NBA star “a few times.”

As the source put things, Selena is “keeping her options open but has been on a few dates with Jimmy and thinks he’s a great guy.”

“They hung out a few times while Selena was in New York City. Jimmy asked her to go to dinner and they had a great time,” adds the source. “It’s very casual and she’s open to seeing where things go, but isn’t settling down just yet.”

Per the source, the 28-year-old singer “is currently single but has recently been more open to dating.”

The insider notes “her friends want to set her up all the time but she has loved being single.”

Aside from not seriously being with anyone in the last couple of years, the source also points out Selena has been extra cautious about dating in 2020. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, The Dead Don’t Die actress has prioritized her health, especially since she has lupus.

“Selena has been very careful with her health this year and has barely left her quarantine bubble,” the source shares, adding, “She’s been extremely busy working from home on her new beauty line and is very proud to have launched that during a pandemic. She’s been enjoying cooking at home and only seeing a select few friends and family members regularly.”

If the Rare Beauty founder decides to make things official with Jimmy, it will mark the first time in a couple of years that she’s been in a serious relationship. As fans of the former Disney Channel star will recall, she was in an on-again, off-again romance with Justin Bieber.

Breakdancing added as new sport for Olympics 2024 to be held in Paris

Breakdancing, a type of hip hop dance that involves side steps, stunts, acrobatics and choreography to music, has been added as an Olympic sport for the 2024 games to be held in Paris.

The decision was confirmed today, December 7 by the International Olympic Committee, as it seeks to attract a younger audience to the competition.

Other newly added sports by the IOC include skateboarding, sport climbing and surfing.

Unlike break dancing, the above three Sports will debut at the coronavirus delayed Olympics in Tokyo in 2021.

The idea was proposed two years ago after trials at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina, proved a success. Breakdancing will be called breaking when competitors take to the floor

In 2024, the dance-offs will take place at a downtown venue in the French capital, alongside sport climbing and 3v3 basketball.

According to a 2019 Olympic programme commission report, an estimated one million people take part in breakdancing.

Considering that the 2019 Red Bull BC One World Final had more that 50 million views across a number of online platforms, the Olympics committee see the addition of breakdancing as a positive one for the games

After the IOC announcement, Ronnie Abaldonado, a competitive breakdancer since 2004 who won the 2007 Red Bull BC One World Final said: “The biggest part is your stage presence and character and your rhythm, whether or not you’re really feeling it.

“People can hit the moves but if you’re not feeling what they’re doing then you just kind of look robotic and that’s what kind of separates it being a sport to it being an art form.”

Breaking pioneer Richard “Crazy Legs” Colon said: “This is true folk art from the music to the dance, to the DJ to the rapper.

“We’ve already legitimized ourselves so we’re not looking to the Olympics for legitimacy.”

‘Madea’ Star Natalie Desselle-Reid Dies After Battle With Cancer

Natalie Desselle-Reid — a prolific actor known for roles in “Eve,” a ‘Madea’ film and ‘B*A*P*S’ — has died after a battle with cancer … one she’d kept private.

The veteran comedic actor passed away Monday morning. A family member tells TMZ she died of colon cancer after having been diagnosed earlier this year. We’re told she was in hospice care in her final days, and was surrounded by family when she went.

An official statement reads, “It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beautiful Natalie this morning. She was a bright light in this world. A queen. An extraordinary mother and wife.”

Actress Holly Robinson Peete also shared the news, writing … “Just absolutely decimated by this news… Actress Natalie Desselle, a bright shining star passed away this morning. I got to know her when my mom was managing her.  She will be so missed…sending out prayers to her children and husband.” She added, “💔🙏🏽😢 Rest In Peace, Sweet Girl🙏🏽”

Natalie was perhaps best known for her sidekick role opposite Halle Berry in the 1997 comedy film “B*A*P*S” in which she played the hilarious role of Mickey. She also starred on the sitcom “Eve” for three years, playing Janie Egins — as well as having starred in Tyler Perry‘s “Madea’s Big Happy Family” as Tammy.

Her acting credits go well beyond that though — NDR also played a prominent character on the TV shows “For Your Love,” and “Built to Last.”

Her other big-screen credits include “How to Be a Player,” “Set It Off,” “Divas,” “Gas” and quite notably … the made-for-TV movie “Cinderella,” featuring Brandy … in which Natalie played the evil step-sister, Minerva.

Natalie leaves behind her husband, Leonard, and 3 children. She was 53.

Napoli To Rename The SAN PAOLO Stadium After Late Diego Maradona

Napoli are set to rename the San Paolo stadium after the late Diego Maradona. 

The Argentina football legend, who was the manager of Argentinian club side Gimnasia passed away aged 60 on Wednesday, November 25th, after suffering a cardiac arrest in his home country. 

An autopsy report said he died in his sleep after suffering heart failure, only two weeks after leaving the hospital following surgery to remove a blood clot on his brain.  

Medics also detected dilated cardiomyopathy, a medical condition in which the heart muscle becomes weakened and enlarged and cannot pump enough blood to the rest of the body.

Maradona, regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, was the inspiration for Argentina’s World Cup success in Mexico in 1986, winning the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player.

He also led the country to the final of the 1990 tournament in Italy although his international playing career ended in shame when he failed a drug test at the 1994 World Cup in the United States.

He played club football for Boca Juniors, Napoli, and Barcelona among others, and was adored by millions of fans for his football talent.

During his time with the Italian side, Napoli, he won the Serie A title in 1987 and 1990, along with an Italian Cup in 1987 and a Uefa Cup in 1991 during a six-year stint in the late 1980s and early 1990s. 

Speaking with French sports channel RMC Sport on Thursday, November 26, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis said: “We can consider the idea of calling our stadium San Paolo-Diego Armando Maradona’ after the Argentine legend, who scored 115 times in 259 appearances for the club. 

“We can consider the idea of calling our stadium San Paolo-Diego Armando Maradona,” De Laurentiis told French sports channel RMC Sport.

“We are already putting it together this morning, taking the first steps to dedicate Naples stadium to Maradona,” De Magistris said.

“Its a process but it will be a quick process, because when there is such a strong desire there’s nothing that will hold us up.”

The Mayor added: “We’re hoping to make it coincide with the resumption of games with fans.”

Halle Berry Lays It The F*** Down After LisaRaye McCoy Suggests She’s Bad in Bed

According to actress and former model LisaRaye McCoy, there was more truth to Halle Berry’s infamous “Monster’s Ball” sex scene than just a visceral character moment.

Powerful and controversial at the time for de-romanticizing the Hollywood sex scene and allowing Berry to look more human and real than most glamourized scenes, McCoy suggested on Fox Soul’s “Cocktails with Queens” that it better represented Berry’s truth.

“That’s what they said,” McCoy replied when pushed about saying Berry was a bit of a bore in the sack. “That’s what I read. That’s what I’ve heard. That’s what they say.”

In other words it was a lot of hearsay, but Berry wasn’t here for it, taking to Twitter to defend herself from the unexpected attack on her sexual performance. How was your Thanksgiving Eve?

In truth, Berry was responding to the fact that the random speculation of the show’s panel about various celebrity’s in the sack put her name in media headlines. After discussing the real story of producer Hitmaka dishing on the women he’d been with, the panel moved into their fantasy speculation.

Toni Braxton was described by Syleena Johnson as someone “able to put it down with the amount of love songs this girl got,” as an example. It was in the midst of a mad rush of chatter that McCoy threw out Berry might be “all [words] and no action,” with nothing to back it up.

Nor did she ever say who the “they” was that she says she “said,” “read,” “heard” this claim about the actress.

After an initial fan backlash and when pressed, McCoy did try to clarify and backtrack a bit, saying, “I remember when ‘Monster’s Ball’ was her love scene and they was trying say that that’s how she is in bed. And it was like, no, it was a movie guys, what are you talking about?”

In fact after doing just this about what she “said,” “read,” “heard,” McCoy said that could couldn’t actually describe Berry’s capabilities in this area because “I’m not gay nor am I bisexual.” She then tried to say the rumors “disturbed” her “because Halle is beautiful. I don’t have a problem with Halle. I love Halle.”

In other words, Berry could have probably just sat this one out entirely and her reputation would have remained intact — or actually, unknown, because who was out here saying anything about it before LisaRaye McCoy?

Nevertheless, fans were eating it up like a pre-holiday snack, getting both women’s names trending on Twitter Wednesday night.

Taraji P. Henson Says She’s Doing ‘Much Better’ After Calling Off Engagement

Taraji P. Henson has had quite a year but is making the most of it.

Last month, Henson announced she called off her wedding and split with her fiancé of two years, Kelvin Hayden. This major life decision came right after she went on a 50th birthday girls trip to Mexico.

“I am much better, let’s put it that way,” she told ET’s Kevin Frazier ahead of her hosting duties at Sunday’s American Music Awards. Henson and the former NFL pro got engaged in May 2018 after two years of dating. Henson previously said they tried to do couples therapy to save their relationship before ultimately deciding to call it quits.

As she celebrated a major birthday milestone, Henson changed her outlook on life and knew things had to change.

“I felt myself slipping and so I was like, ‘You know what I am not going to do is let 50 happen to me,” she expressed. “I am going to get control of this mentally and not be like, ‘You are getting old, don’t nobody care, you ain’t working,’ Well, duh, no one is working, it is COVID. So I felt that coming.”

After calling her trainer and staying positive, she says she doesn’t “have those low lows anymore,” before sending a message to others who might be feeling down. “So anybody out there, that might be going through this darkness, literally, working out, it really works.”

Henson, meanwhile, couldn’t be more excited to get all dolled up and emcee the AMAs.

“I got called to present at the Billboards and then my agent goes, ‘Oh by the way, they want to know if you want to host the AMAs and I am like, ‘What? Hell yeah, I want to get off this sofa and be glamorous and pretty,'” she said. “I studied musical theater, so any time I get to be on a live theater stage, that’s how I look at it. I know it is an award show for music but it is still a chance for me to show my different talents.”

“I wanted to do this whole big, huge opening dance number with all of these dances and dancers,” she shared. “But we have been limited to the amount of dancers we can have due to COVID. But we are artists, so we are going to be creative. It is still going to be a really big show and amazing and creative and that is the great thing about artists, you can’t hold us down. You can’t pin us down, you are in the guidelines, but they are still creative.”
